Berlin – Warsaw

Early start, taking the train to Warsaw. I’ve been to Poland briefly before (years ago), but never this far to the east. I am, once more, on my way to the far north of Finland. This time mostly by train, so the stops will be few and the traveling (comparatively) quick. I’ll have a look at some of the major cities en route, and try to visit a few bouldering gyms. I have my beloved singlespeed with me, but I won’t be cycling any long-distance legs (not enough time – trains for that). Am I getting lazy? Nope. Taking the bike was a last minute-change-of-mind to be more flexible in the cities.

Warsaw isn’t exceptionally bike friendly. Also, there are not many cyclists, which may be a chicken-and-egg problem. But it cycles reasonably well, and it is flat (with the exception of the banks of the river Vistula).
In any case, taking the bike was the best idea ever.
